Voice For Health & Progress
  • A recent Medicare Part D enrollee, Kenneth’s story is an example of what it means to push forward despite health challenges. After being diagnosed with cancer, Kenneth underwent multiple surgeries that left him unable to speak and relying on a type-to-talk device to communicate with others.

As an ordained minister, Kenneth still preaches to his congregation and teaches Sunday school at his church even though his illness caused him to retire early.

Prior to becoming ill, Kenneth particpated in off-Broadway productions and radio shows. His Medicare Part D coverage allows him to afford the prescriptions he needs to maintain his quality of life and enjoy activities like spending time with his four-year-old granddaughter.

As Kenneth says, "Nobody can be prepared for an illness that will cause early retirement." Without Medicare Part D coverage, his life would be vastly different.
