Voice For Health & Progress
  • Shirley, a retiree who lives with her husband, has been enrolled in Medicare Part D for two years. In late 2013, she suffered a concussion after a slip and fall outside her home.

In addition to helping her to cover the cost of medication to treat her concussion, Shirley’s Medicare Part D coverage has made it easier for her to afford prescriptions to treat thyroid and heart conditions.

Shirley says that, if she didn’t have Part D, she would have to cut back on her daily living expenses. She wants Congress to know that Medicare Part D is a much-needed program.
