Voice For Health & Progress
  • Vivian is 65 years old and has been retired for 15 years. She enjoys container gardening and tending her plants and flowers. She is in a wheelchair and has heart disease and diabetes, and takes a number of prescription drugs to treat these conditions. Because of Medicare Part D, Vivian’s out-of-pocket costs are low, so she can take her medications daily as prescribed. There is also no out-of-pocket cost for her diabetic testing supplies.

Vivian says Medicare Part D not only makes it possible for her and her husband to take care of themselves, but also to help others in need.

Vivian joined Voices for Health & Progress because she believes we have to keep building on the program’s success. She urges Congress to see her as an example of how much good the program does for so many Americans.
